Logistics and Compliance Coordinator – £30k pro rata

Our client, a gym equipment manufacturer and distributor based in High Wycombe, are looking for a logistics and compliance coordinator to join the customer service team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert support regarding logistics and trade compliances and own the freight solutions and trade or product compliance certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides freight quotes on request of sales and sales operations functions
  • Creates and manage freight solutions
  • Accommodate product compliance certification e.g. SASO
  • Manage product movement and compliance complexities which might be initiated by Brexit
  • Accommodates country or origin certificates
  • Assist AC team and 3rd parties with correct documentation and Letter of Credit matters
  • Performs harmonization code (HS) researches and advises on HS code to use
  • Own administration, results and improvement actions of freight recovery
  • Approve freight invoices

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Knowledge and experience in international logistics in freight and in courier logistics
  • Exposure to trade and product compliance matters
  • Seek out and capture opportunities for cost reduction and continuous improvement.
  • Embracing lean Six Sigma, related principles and tools as being offered by training and coaching as well by self-education.
  • A-levels as minimum
  • Knowledge and experience in international logistics in freight and in parcel logistics as a plus
  • Exposure to trade and product compliance matters
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, database management tools, inventory management tools. Experience with ERP/SCM/WMS apps is required.
