Strategic Planning & Projects Analyst – £35k

Our client is an authorised dealer & distributor of construction equipment, power systems and material handling equipment. They have a presence in nine countries spread over three continents providing customers with comprehensive solutions backed by technical know-how, experience and in-depth knowledge of local markets.

They are looking for an exceptional individual to support both the Strategy & Business Development Manager (SM) & Group Strategic Projects Manager (GSPM) in driving key strategic transformational and growth projects which support the overall Group Change agenda.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the annual Group Planning process through Strategic direction from the SM and coordination with the COEs / BUs / Support functions
  • Assist in the development of supporting material for Strategic workshops across 10 BUs;
  • Coordinate with stakeholders across 10 BUs to drive the overall Strategic Planning Process;
  • Provide reporting & KPI tracking on Strategic Action Plans;
  • Contribute towards the evolution of the Group Strategic Planning Process.
  • Provide reporting & KPI tracking on various Growth Projects;
  • Provide analytical support to the SM on existing and new projects based on evolving business needs.
  • Helping the GSPM further embed a PMO culture within the business;
  • Working with the GSPM to Improve accountability and governance in the management of strategic projects;
  • Maintaining relevant Project Airport(s) and updating corresponding trackers;
  • Implementing and curating suite of best practice PM tools / infrastructure;
  • Providing monthly reporting of change initiatives in play.
  • Partner with the business for tactical support on projects under GSPM manager;
  • Initiate and use existing templates (Using 4D delivery framework) across the business to ensure consistency of approach;
  • Coordinate stakeholders across multiple countries, business lines and support functions.
  • Provide reporting & KPI tracking over group transformation roadmap;
  • Lead strategic initiatives within program sponsored by the GSPM.
  • Support Strategy Director and with tactical analysis around key strategic issues
  • Provide support in development of major group presentations


Key Skills/Experience:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a top-tier company
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen, combined with desire to drive results
  • Excellent communication skills, adaptable to the relevant audience and culture
  • Collaborative approach and ability to build relationships with key stakeholders, often remotely
  • Initiative to drive ownership and manage own time and projects
  • Confidence and experience in influencing and driving senior stakeholders
  • Flexibility to cope with changing demands of the role and business
  • Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment
  • Highly numerate: Strong excel skills and experience with large data sets
  • Discipline: Strong organisational skills
  • Presentation: Strong presentation skills
